Stone Repair

Ellerbeck Stonework carries out the repair of stone in a number of different ways. Stones that are damaged can be cut out, replaced in a like for like stone specially selected to match the existing stone. The original details of the stone can be reproduced to match as well.
 
Stones can be repaired using reconstituted stone mixes that are specially selected to match the original material but are applied wet, in the form of mortar, worked into the size and shapes of the stone being repaired or refaced.
 
In all cases, Stainless steel reinforcement can be used to strengthen the repair so that it lasts in excess of 30 years
 
The same principle is applied to stucco render repairs of building made from Roman stucco. These are usually decorated buildings. We repair Terracotta to the same principle where coloured dyes are used to match the colours of the terracotta blocks.
